The worth of a swan’s life

I don’t contest Mr Harding’s expertise of swans.

However, I find his statement that ‘no animal is worth risking hypothermia or worse for’ simply sad – and quite deplorable as this implies that animals are worth less than human beings.

Animals are sentient beings that feel pain, emotions, anger et al, just like we do.

As an animal campaigner and animal rescuer myself, I for one would gladly rescue an animal in need, even if I lost my life in the process.

Animals are our brothers and sisters, and they deserve our respect at all times.
