Theatre not cinema

WITH all due respect to the powers-that-be, the Windmill Theatre cannot in any way be described as a cinema.

It actually reminds me of Angmering Village Hall in the 1950s, when a couple of enterprising guys brought films to the masses.

I remember cycling to Arundel with my mum to the cinema there which shut up shop in the early 1960s.

Over the next 25 years the three cinemas in Littlehampton were lost and became flats and cafés.

Even the Top Hat got the chop.

Many of the seniors around the area now will lament the passing of the entertainment that was available.

Someone needs to pull their finger out and bring back some lifeblood to Littlehampton.

By goodness, it is needed.
