Town is so proud of Invictus hero

It was very humbling to read Mike Gooding’s story (Gazette, September 11) and follow his progress during the recent Invictus Games.

I can assure you all members of the Littlehampton Swimming club watched Mike’s progress avidly and with great pride as his tally of medals grew and grew.

Mike started his swimming career at the threatened sport centre in Littlehampton. He was an excellent role model then and is today to all the young people of Littlehampton.

Mike should be extremely proud of himself for what he has achieved.

Mike, the people of Littlehampton salute you and all you have accomplished.
