‘Trapped’ is a matter of perspective

I’ve been following the on-going saga of the unloading bay in Rye High Street, wondering if the problem will ever be resolved. While it must have caused great distress to the resident in Lions Street who was “trapped in his house”, not by rising flood water as has been the experience of thousands of people over the Christmas holiday, but by a lorry parked on the footpath too close to his front door.
