With over twice as many participants this year, the races were officially started by honoured guests, Bronze Medal winning Paralympian Rachel Morris and Jigsaw Patron, Kim Robson from 96.4 Eagle Radio.

The event raised in excess of £3,000 for Jigsaw Trust.

Jigsaw CABAS® School, (‘Outstanding’, Ofsted Oct 2013) based in Surrey and specialists in educating children with an autism spectrum disorder, have once again been supported by local independent financial advisors, Informed Choice in sponsoring and organizing the charitable run.

Martin Bamford, Managing Director of Informed Choice, says: “Following the success of last year’s Jigsaw Run, we were excited to see over twice as many runners sign up this year.

“We have also added a 3k distance for family or more casual runners to have a go and are very proud that this event is becoming so well thought of amongst the local running community.

“In particular, we are extremely pleased to announce that 96.4 Eagle Radio will be throwing their support behind the event next year to help us all take it to the next level.”

Runners had the option to tackle a 10k or a 3k run with the 10k being two laps of Dunsfold Park’s perimeter road whilst the shorter 3k took place on the aerodrome’s main runway.

Full results and a round up of the day can be found on the Jigsaw Run website http://www.jigsawrun.co.uk/2013/12/thank-you/

The winners came in as follows: 10k: First Male - 36.02 - Anthony Meager. First Female - 42.52 - Jean Knapp

3k: Winner - 15.56 - Mike Dodds

Development Officer, Steven Morgan, thanked everyone taking part by saying: “The Jigsaw Run has a really good feeling about it – the venue, here on Dunsfold Park, is an ideal course on closed roads, flat with some interesting landmarks to run past plus, of course, the fun of crossing the Top Gear line!
