Understanding the concept of democracy?

What is it with these people, with the time and money to spend on a whole day, travelling to and from London, to stage the so-called anti-Brexit rally inadvertently parading to the world their total failure to grasp the concept of rule by democratic majority?

Apart from which part of ‘leave’ don’t they understand, aren’t the sentiments behind this pointless exercise – as well as the encouragement from Tony Blair and Lord Mandleson – examples of precisely the lack of democracy. a greater number of their fellow countrymen and women have just voted to leave?

Bearing as all this does, similarities with the hissy fit we endured after the last general election, both have the hallmark of the politically immature indulging themselves in throwing rattles out of prams – massed ranks of mummy’s dears still too young to have ever heard the word ‘no’.

I would wager there are many remainers out there who would never support such a pantomime and probably even resent this blatant exercise in mob rule taking place on their behalf.

Is this rash of anti-democratic activity I wonder a result of 41 years of European democracy-free rule? Prior to common market days all Britons accepted democtartic results without question. If this is the case, it is indeed high time we reinstated it.
