Unusual arrangement

I AM responding to Derek Waller's scurrilous letter (Gazette, July 30), in which he accuses the Villages Action Group (VAG) of acting in some form of concert with the Ford Enterprise Hub members. This is totally untrue.

I would like to draw attention to extremely unusual arrangements that exist between CAFE and Arun District Council.

It may be of interest to local residents that CAFE has conducted its meetings inside Arun's council chamber. Is this normal treatment for an action group?

If so, why have not VAG, the Bersted campaigners and others also been invited by Arun to go along and hold their meetings in the auspicious surroundings of the same council chamber?

It has not happened to VAG to date.

The whole arrangement certainly seems to have a smell of special treatment.
