Useful as ‘annexe’

I SEE that there is still much discussion over the delay in the rebuilding of Littlehampton Hospital.

If memory serves me correctly, I wrote to you originally about the proposed selling off of Zachary Merton Hospital at Rustington, advising against such a move, because I felt that the services of the new hospital would become inadequate as the population expanded, and Zachary Merton could serve as a useful annexe.

I am still of this opinion, especially as it seems that the ageing population of Littlehampton continues to increase substantially.
