Vacancies at Forest Neighbourhood Council in Horsham

If so, Forest Neighbourhood Council currently has vacancies for councillors.

The background to Neighbourhood Councils is that they were formed in 1976 after the establishment of Horsham District Council in 1974. During this local government restructuring, a large part of the former urban area in Horsham was left ‘unparished’ and so three Neighbourhood Councils were formed – not as statutory bodies or with political alliances but to represent the views of residents and to raise local issues and concerns to statutory authorities and other community bodies.

Forest Neighbourhood Council Meetings take place on the third Monday evening of each month in the Salvation Army Hall, 7.30pm onwards and are regularly attended by representatives of Horsham District Council and West Sussex County Council as well as members of the public.
