Vandals have already attacked Eastbourne’s new trees

I have noticed that already three saplings have been vandalised in the new landscaping at the town centre and three more look as though they’ll have limited lives.

To replace them will presumably be costly. Given that our council is calling out for the public to give financial support for more trees across the town will they be taking steps to provide some protection for all saplings that are planted?

Without physical support it will become a waste of time, effort and money.
