Verging on crazy
She phoned the council and asked them if they would replace it, but they said they didn’t have the money to do so. So off she went a brought a tree, of the same kind, planted it and the council even sent someone round to put a collar around the tree.
It survived, was flowering and about 5ft tall, even the gas engineers were careful around it.

Hide AdThen came the so-called ‘grass cutters’ (if you could see the state of our grass, you would see why I called them ‘so-called’), who accidently demolished it, taking the remains so as not to leave any evidence!
We had a visit by the council man, who told us that she should not have planted a tree as she did not get permission.
What happened to plant a tree and save our planet? And not costing the council anything.
