Vintage bus hopes

I WAS pleased to see the article (Gazette, August 5) on Wheels 10 and agree with all that was written, with one exception, the reference to vintage buses.

Sorry, I only saw one. Did I miss the others?

The supplement in the previous week's Gazette implied that there would be several at this year's show.

In 2008 we had at least four Southdown buses, three in Coastliner livery, plus a brown double-decker tour bus described as a hotel on wheels, along with several driving units of lorries.

I had hoped that a few extra might have put in an appearance this year.

However, thank you to all those who worked hard to put on the show and at least the weather was kind, apart from early Saturday.
