Waitrose wonder is setting standard
SHOPPING in the new Waitrose store in Littlehampton is wonderful. It has convenient parking, a superbly intelligent internal design and an exciting and extensive range of high-quality and mostly ethically-sourced goods.
The staff are most helpful. If you ask where something is they don’t point to an aisle and mutter, they smile and escort you to the location. There is fresh meat and fish, a quality deli, an inviting cafe selling delicious coffee and healthy snacks, and fully staffed checkouts without a ghastly self service till in sight. Bring it on.
If only we could get the people who designed this store to redesign the rest of the town we might end up with somewhere you can actually park and enjoy shopping.
