We need extra vision

YOU certainly have some remarkable contributors to your paper. There is the energetic lady who must have conducted a Mori-style poll single-handedly in order to state, in reference to the Royal Wedding, '...a social function most people in this country are not interested in'! Another has amazing vision cataloguing a vast list of accidents which are likely to occur on the 'new' seafront. While on this subject many contributors appear to have super vivid imaginations leading them to condemn the changes while lesser mortals such as myself will have to wait until it is completed, teething problems sorted and a couple of years of plant growth in evidence before making judgements. At this stage I would go as far as saying that it looks really imaginative and that the controversial shelters do compliment the overall style.

Of course many of us find changes difficult and it does take a while to get used to new ideas but with positive thinking it is possible. We do need leaders with that extra vision otherwise we would still be swinging in the trees.

Having just returned from abroad I once again marvel at our beautiful country and consider it a privilege to live in this delightful town which has had so much money spent on it. Of course it is impossible to gain 100 per cent approval from residents on every development but I find it so sad that many seem unable to appreciate and enjoy Bexhill.
