Welcome donations

MAY I thank everybody who has contributed over the last year to the Capstan Fund, which helps to fund some of the running costs of the Littlehampton Carnival and the Littlehampton Bonfire Society.

A total of £188.67 has been donated in the granite capstan collection box situated in the middle of the precinct outside Bunce’s and in the three collection boxes in Shoe to Boot, Quality Textiles and David O. Jones Sports.

In addition, Paul Crease also donates regular amounts of change to the fund which is collected at the Arun View Inn.

Thanks to these donations, each society will receive £94.33, which will help towards their postage and stationery costs.

If you enjoy the carnival events and Bonfire Night, do pop any loose change in the capstan when you are in the High Street, as both organisations need every penny that they can come by!
