Well done to bonfire clean-up crew

As a temporary resident of Rye in Cinque Ports Street, I would like to comment on the ‘Morning After the Guy Fawkes Night’

Having a birds eye view of the procession and later enjoying the fireworks display, on returning home we shuddered at the enormous amount of litter and mess lying everywhere.

On our way to church at 7.45am this morning there were still piles of litter but after the Service the streets, magically, had been cleaned and everywhere was spotless.

The team who were responsible deserve a medal and I imagine much appreciation from the residents.
