I WRITE in response to Mike Shaw's letter, With a Lidl love (Gazette, August 5), concerning the opening of Lidl's store in Littlehampton, and his suggestion that at last it's correct to say "Lidlhampton".
This reminds me of Ronnie Barker's quip: "I've been to LA for my holidays." "So you've been to Los Angeles, have you?" "No! Little 'Ampton!"
