What a response

While out working on Monday I entered a property in Church Street, namely Temple Court.

While I was in Temple Court, I came across a glowing and melting light switch on the first floor landing / communal area.

I alerted the residents of this and phoned 999 at 9.09am and called for the fire service.

The fire service arrived virtually immediately. Actually, I was still on my mobile phone to the call centre as they arrived.

When in the building the crew immediately assessed the situation, turned the power to the lighting system off and carried out the rest of their work to make the area and building safe.

I would like to say a big thank-you to our Littlehampton crew that attended as their quick response, professionalism, support and help definitely averted a more serious incident.
