I feel I must contact the Herald to say how disappointed I am at not being able to get volunteer transport.

I am included in the extremely clinical vulnerable section of the public during this Lockdown Two, previously known as shielding.

The government has advised the vulnerable not to use public transport during the lockdown.

We are told to contact NHS volunteer responders for help to get transport to medical appointments.

I rang them today (Wednesday November 11) but they had no volunteers available for transporting the vulnerable to medical appointments in Eastbourne available at this time.

I tried the Red Cross for help, but they no longer do transport of this kind in the south east.

I also tried Age Concern, Age UK, RVS.

Also I tried non-emergency patient transport, I used to have them due to cancer, but they now only give transport to the disabled.

All these were unable to help with transport to my hospital appointment in Hastings.

So please where is the help for the clinically vulnerable?
