Whoever stole the canaries caused untold distress

I AM writing in the hope that whoever stole my friend's canaries is reading this.

Do you realise the distress you've caused her, not knowing what has happened to them? Probably not.

Those birds were her pets.

She didn't have them for monetary gain, but for the pleasure they gave her and now you have taken that away.

You had no regard for the fact that there were seven babies, three of which were still in the nest.

I hope you are pleased with yourself/selves.

I was going to say there are no words to describe how I feel about you and what you've done, but I would be lying.

There are words, but unfortunately, they are unprintable.

Please give any information to John Hayward, National Bird Theft Register, telephone 01869 325699 or 0780 2404 929.
