Why are we still waiting for repairs?

DURING June one weekend, notices were erected in the area of the Littlehampton Harbour Board offices indicating that the award-winning walkway in that vicinity would be closed for very much-needed repairs.

By the following weekend these notices had been removed.

Later, similar notices appeared, stating that such work would be commencing on July 12, yet here we are a month later and still no work has been carried out.

May I ask if such work might be done before the end of the year, or are the powers-that-be waiting for accidents to happen? It is extremely dangerous in this section.
