There has never been a better time for reflection. Green space and exercise is key ,in the battle for mental health, in the time of crisis!

We now hear that 180 homes are being built on the last green space between two growing communities.

It was not a private playing field it was brought by local councils with public money.

In a way it is owned by us , but we do not have any say in how its used?

There is a loss of accountability between the different parties: Vines, Brighton University,East Sussex County Council and Wealden District Council (which is tops of having the most confusing website, if you want to comment).

On building works, there is a lack of transparency which is worrying , the buying and selling of land is almost done secretly. Sadly the university goes strangely quiet when you ask why they are selling prime recreational land!

Would it be wonderful when this horrific virus is dead for all parties to dedicate the land to the memory of those people who have died, and those people who have died fighting the virus, as we did in the war. It’s a time for some reflection!
