Will they fall on their swords?

It was with some amusement that I read the leaflet from Huw Merriman MP that was posted through my door reference the forthcoming IN/Out EU referendum meetings.

Although Mr Merriman appears to claim neutrality, it is obvious on which side of the fence that he sits, as he refers to ‘what a reformed EU would look like’.

This is just re-peddling ‘call me Dave’s’ mantra of a ‘reformed EU’.

That nice Mr Cameron has conclusively proved that the EU is not, and cannot be reformed, so why he and the In people keep referring to a ‘reformed EU’ completely escapes me.

Dave, aided and abetted by people who are looking out for their jobs are constantly lying and peddling half-truth reasons for In which are frequently and obviously mind numbingly false.

It also seems at present that the EU is on a mission to include not only Europe, but a big slice of really poor Asian countries into the club, presumably by lying about their financial status as has been done in the not too distant past.

I cannot find too many real ‘facts’ that the scare mongering ‘Stronger In’ campaign presents that convince me that In is the better alternative.

They all seem to be liberally scattered with ifs, buts and maybes.

And a true ‘fact’ has none of these riders.

However the Out campaigners seem to produce actual facts and what appear to be achievable outcomes.

Just in case you are wondering which way I will be voting, it’s a definite Out, but I will still be voting for the Conservative candidate at the next general election, which might come earlier than we think when all the In brigade do the honourable thing and fall on their swords when they lose. Or is that wishful thinking?
