World's longest cushion in order

I WOULD like to start by saying that I'm in no way against the world's longest bench being created in our town, nor do I think it a waste of money that could have been spent elsewhere.

However, after viewing the bench in situ and sampling its restful properties, I discovered a problem.

It's not comfortable! At all!

Why would a bench, a piece of external furniture designed to be sat on, not be particularly comfy?

Were there not enough creative juices left after designing its complex structure and colour scheme to wonder at the practical usage of the project?

If the world's longest bench is to be a success, I think that to improve its chances a good idea would be to twin it with the world's longest cushion!
