Since the diagnosis, the family have been avid supporters of CHECT, regularly supporting the charity in a variety of ways including participating in fundraising events and volunteering their time to run activities during the charity’s Member’s Weekend.

Commenting on the opening, Abbie’s mum Lisa said: “We all enjoyed opening the new Cranleigh Vision Express store.

“An extra surprise was that the store gave Abbie a brand new pair of sunglasses and had also arranged some lovely flowers for me as a thank you, which was great. Abbie and I were really pleased to be part of the day and to help raise awareness of retinoblastoma.”

The Cranleigh store has been on the same site for more than 20 years and recently closed for refurbishment. It has opened with the latest in eye care facilities and equipment.
