Elisa took on this role, as she raised the most money during the sponsored ‘Welly Walk’ which raised over £6000 in total to go towards improving the school grounds at Kingslea.

In a letter to parents, Elisa said: “I have enjoyed my morning being headteacher of Kingslea Primary School.

“I started by doing Assembly where all the children behaved very well, except one new boy in class 2P, so I wrote down all the things he shouldn’t do in Assembly and in class and I’ll be having a chat with him because he’s been very naughty.

“I then opened some post from our link school in Germany and read the postcards written by the children.

“Next I went with Mrs Russell (Senior Teacher) to visit each class, checking what they were all doing and made some notes. I only had to use my red pen when writing about the new boy.

“I found 6P were collaborating in maths and I was pleased with the interesting lessons and with how the children behaved. I enjoyed visiting the classrooms because I haven’t been in some of them before and I finished with a duty at breaktime.

“I think it’s hard work being headteacher and I’m looking forward to going back into class with my friends.”
