Young Horsham author to sign novels at Christmas market

Young Horsham author, Eric Richardson, will be signing and selling first edition copies of his 3 book volume, ‘The Demonfall’, at the Horsham Best of British Christmas market on Monday December 23.

Eric, aged 19, and a former pupil of The Weald at Billingshurst, brings his fantasy adventure to a blood-splattered conclusion with the final instalment of ‘The Demonfall’ trilogy; 3 books consisting of The Brink of Chaos, The Medtak Curse and The Hordes of Rakshar.

Eric launched his first published novel ‘The Brink of Chaos’, back in 2007 at the age of 12 whilst attending The Weald.

Eric had started the novel in the hope of winning a writing competition only to discover that he was too young to enter. However, by this point Eric had been bitten by the writing bug and was so engrossed with his characters that he continued to write.

Eric eventually launched his novel with a book signing at Waterstones and a guest appearance on the Gordon Astley show on BBC Southern Counties radio in 2007.

At the age of 14 and hot on the heels of the success of his first novel came the sequel ‘The Medtak Curse’, with the book’s heroes continuing their quest to rid the land of Richareme of the tyrannical Lord Ladracsin and his evil acolytes.

The 2nd book was published in 2009 with Eric admitting at the time that progress in writing the sequel was much slower due to an ever increasing school workload.

By now, The Weald School had started a charity to raise funds to build schools in Kenya and Eric decided to help by donating the proceeds from the sale of the books to the Kenya project.

When Eric joined the sixth form he was fortunate to go out Kenya to help to build the schools that he had helped fund and this experience inspired him to complete the final chapter of the trilogy.

And so the final instalment, ‘The Hordes of Rakshar’ is released.

Now at the grand old age of 19 and studying medicine at Leeds University, Eric brings his trilogy to a breathtaking climax with a non-stop kaleidoscope of blood-splattered action and magical warfare in a fantastic tale of betrayal, resurrection and redemption.

An ideal stocking filler for young Horsham book readers!
