Lights disappointed

MY WIFE and I attended the Christmas lights switch-on in Bognor Regis, but we came away disappointed.

Firstly, I couldn’t tell you if the Wizard of Oz stars appeared or not; all I could see was a blue and white striped hat.

Secondly, you couldn’t hear anything the mayor was saying and I was only standing 20 yards away.

Thirdly, after the crowd’s countdown to the switch-on, nothing happened for at least half a minute and then the lights came on.

At least the lights are brilliant.

May I suggest next year a small platform is built, so people at the back can see what is happening, and a sound system that works?
