TRINITY SOUTH MALLING: (Parish Church). This Sunday is Mothering Sunday, when in the past people were called to honour their Mother Church, perhaps where they were christened, perhaps in the town or village where their families still lived, though they had moved on. It is an appropriate gesture as we come towards the end of Lent, to remember our mothers and hopefully happy childhoods, paying some kind of homage to family and particularly parents and mothers, church and school. This week’s service at South Malling will be a cafe service led by Revd Jules Middleton, sociable, friendly and informal. Music will be provided by the music group. All are welcome. Children have their own teaching, after the opening and back for a pleasing conclusion, when flowers will be distributed. All are welcome as usual. The service begins at 9.30am.

RESIDENTS ASSOCIATION: Do you know anyone who would like to join Malling Tenants and Residents Association Youth Committee? At the last meeting of MTRA’s committee it was agreed that they should seek to set up a youth committee for people between the age of 12 and 17 years. The committee would enable young people to discuss topics of particular interest to them, such as facilities for under 17s and environmental issues including climate change, anti-social behaviour and much more. Holding a careers event this year was also suggested. If you would like to be involved please contact Wendy Bradfield, or Lewis McIver or Cllr John Lamb who can point you in the right direction.
