CHRIST CHURCH : Tots have a session for pre-school children and their carers on today, Friday, from 9.30am to 11.30am, only £1 per family. On Sunday at 10.30am our morning service will be led by Dr Graham Campling. After the service we have a church walk in the Sussex countryside beginning about 12.30pm. This week we have a Think Tank meeting on Wednesday, when Professor Avril Loveless will be speaking on Refugee Tales, immigration detention in the UK, beginning at 7.30pm. There are two Lent study groups under way in the local area, one evening and one day time. At Christ Church we have an ecumenical study group on five Thursday evenings from 7.30pm to 9pm ( up to and including April 11) based on St Mark’s Gospel. At St Anne’s Church there will be a study course on Tuesday mornings beginning at 10.30am, with Holy Communion and discussion groups, followed by a simple soup lunch. All are welcome.

ST MARY’S SUPPORTERS CLUB: Get your thinking caps on for a Quiz Night hosted by Lewes Borough Bonfire Society on tonight, Friday. Teams of up to six, £2 per person starting at 8pm. Everyone welcome. Tomorrow, Saturday, there is an opportunity for non members both adults and children to come along and see what the club has to offer. Pop in for a chat and a drink. There will be our mini skittles alley, toads and table tennis available. Everyone welcome. NEVILL RESIDENTS: At the meeting on Monday, two items have been brought to the committee’s attention. Firstly, some of the equipment in the children’s play area is in need of repair and attention, in particular the roundabout and the boat. Secondly, tree planting on the Nevill. If you have any ideas or opinions, please come along to the meeting on Monday at St Mary’s Church Hall, Highdown Road at 8pm.
