New leaders at the top

TAKING over leadership of the three Chichester Rotary clubs this year are Dick Hammond, Marian Scott and Bob Syme.

Dick heads up the original Chichester Club, founded in 1920, which, with 65 members, is the largest in District 1250.

Prior to retirement he worked as a marketing executive for IBM. The club meets on Tuesday lunchtimes at the theatre’s Brasserie in the Park.

Bob, also retired from his work as a management consultant, is president of the 49-strong Chichester Priory Club, chartered in 1987.

Marian, until recently headmistress at Lavant House School, presides over Chichester Harbour Club, now entering its 13th year.

The club has 37 members, split evenly between men and women.

Both Priory and Harbour clubs meet on Wednesdays at the Chichester Park Hotel, at 6.30pm and 7.15am respectively.
