No need for bonfires

WHY DO some people persist in starting garden bonfires as soon as the sun starts to shine and the warm evenings are here?

The fires spread acrid smoke throughout the neighbourhood, making it impossible to sit in the open and enjoy a warm evening of fresh air. Even during the night, bonfires are left smouldering and smoking so that windows cannot be kept open to cool rooms off.

We, as a country, do not get many balmy days which allow us to sit outside during the evening and it amazes me some people show no consideration for others. After all there are local council tips and collection services for garden rubbish, so why create pollution?
