The Worthing Rotary Club would like to say a huge thank you to the very generous public who so kindly donated over £8,000 to our Christmas collections at our Tree of Goodwill in Montague Place.

A large proportion of this fabulous amount has gone to the Salvation Army to pay for their food parcels, which were given to local needy residents.

The rest will be distributed to other local charities.

We would like to also say how very grateful we are to the many sponsors who supported us in raising this money.

Their help enabled us to pay for the Christmas tree, lights and decorations.

We now look forward to our next big event which is the Hobbies and Leisure Exhibition at the Assembly Hall, Stoke Abbott Road, on Saturday, March 5, from 10am until 4pm.

The exhibition will have stalls and displays featuring local clubs, organisations and activities ranging from running and walking clubs to drama clubs, photographic clubs, sewing and knitting groups.

This event is a great opportunity to promote what you do and to encourage others to join you.

We look forward to seeing you there.
