Single market is not '˜cuddly toy'

You can bet your mortgage on the fact that France and others would veto any trade deal with the USA and it would probably take considerably longer than Canada’s seven years to get a deal, plus there would be high tariffs as well.

The Obama speech on his recent visit is all about him only looking out for the USA, he couldn’t give a hoot about UK’s best interests.

Ask Obama if he would have an open border with Mexico with no passports and the fact the US would not be able to make their own laws? We don’t need Obama or even Angela Merkel to bully us into remaining in an organisation that is dead in the water.

Greece is almost on its knees with another bail out imminent. Spain, Portugal and Italy are going the same way. The single currency, the Euro, is a joke and a disaster.

All the big money institutions who are telling us to remain, the so-called experts, are the very same people who failed to foresee the 2008 global recession and warned of similar catastrophic consequences if we didn’t join the Euro.

We have Turkey and the Balkan states of Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Albania who the EU are welcoming with open arms, but whose economies are a car crash and don’t forget it will cost the UK a further £1.8 billion we will have to pay for the privilege of them to join.

The single market is not some sort of inner sanctum or a cuddly toy as Nigel Farage puts it, only accessible to a privileged few. Every country has access to the single market - with or without tariffs but what the EU currently imposes and prevents, the UK’s right to negotiate Free Trade Deals with non EU countries, the expanding economies of China, India, Australia, Brazil.

We also buy more from the EU than they buy from us. The EU are not going to jeopardise those trade deals because the UK is no longer part of the EU. The EU is now the slowest growing trading group, globally, apart from Antarctica.

On the issue of Hilary Clinton probably being the next US President, there is a certain Donald Trump who might have a big say about that. Speaking to some Americans on a recent holiday, my understanding is that the USA is ready for a change of political direction after a number of years under the Democratic Party and its policies. Taking back control of our borders, immigration, democracy and sovereignty, the right to make our own laws and deport those EU criminals we now have to put up with and languishing in our jails.

We will have the increased funding for our NHS, education, housing and transport, currently under huge demands because of the high level of net migration to the UK. All the remain camp have left is project fear and a migration crisis that threatens the EU’s very own existence!
