Sleep happily

At last week's call-in of the decision to spend £25,000 for further work on the Arun Local Plan, Councillor Bower expressed his delight if the south-east plan were finally put to sleep, which it is expected to be in a matter of weeks.

I presume the reason for his pleasure would be that Arun will then be able to revert back to the option for the lower number of houses, which is what they have always said they would do when no longer bound to obey a Labour government diktat. The council would then be faced with the relatively easy ride of getting through a Local Plan which did not require any further strategic locations and the residents of the six villages could sleep happily in their beds.
