Spare a thought for the wives

Spare a thought for the heroines left at home. Can you imagine what it’s like living with either Dee Day or Tush? The average man talks about golf, football or angling, not these two - their whole world is 35ft long, 8ft wide and weighs six tons.

Their conversation is about bilges, drogues, scuppers and to the average housewife it’s a load of rowlocks.

‘We won’t be long’ said Dee Day and Tush, just popping over to France, got to go again next week as well, have some measuring to do.

Two and a half years ago, it was the Priscilla Macbean on their minds all the time. Now, their new project has taken over.

On our roles within the Macbean and Bishop Trust - Pat (secretary) and Bev (teasurer) - we are still very active and as you know behind every successful man you only need half a good woman, so spare a thought for us poor home-alones.

Although we wouldn’t swap them for anything (except perhaps peace and quiet).
