AT A full meeting of the Arun District Council last week, a petition of some 10,800 signatures was handed in to lobby to support the Picturedrome cinema and protect its future by not building a multiplex on the seafront.

As the company directors we would just like to say a huge thank you to each and every person who took the trouble to sign it and show their loyalty to a local business.

There is a very lively Facebook Group called Save Our Cinema Bognor Regis and anyone who signed the petition can join it, so they can be updated with news and information.

Once again, a sincere thank you to all 10,800 of you, including the 1,500 Bognor Regis Observer readers who signed, the Bognor Regis Civic Society for organising it, and the people who actually came to the Arun Civic Centre to the full council meeting to present it.
