Thanks to staff after heart attack

After developing chest pains while out, I stopped at the doctor's on the way home as it was closer.

There I suffered a full heart attack.

I would like to express my gratitude and admiration for the staff at Lavant Road surgery who administered first aid, called the ambulance and prepared me for their arrival.

The ambulance crew moved me swiftly and without fuss to St Richard’s where my care continued to be top notch.

Once they had stabilised me I was moved to the specialist unit at QA where I was treated swiftly by a space-age machine that inserted stents into the damaged arteries.

After three days of recuperation I was allowed home.

I know I have to take it easy from now on and I am able to do a little more each day. I can think of no other way to say thank you than with a public notice in the paper.
