This is not democracy

LAST night the Health and Social Care Bill crawled over its last hurdle in the House of Commons.

Despite ceaseless opposition from the Labour Party, in the end they were unable to stop the bill.

The Lib Dems in the coalition succumbed to their Tory colleagues. Our MP Andrew Tyrie voted for the bill at every stage.

We will remember what our MP did in the years to come, when profit becomes king in our precious NHS.

This has all been bulldozed through in the face of opposition from all the health professionals.

We must hold the coalition to account,as we watch those waiting lists rise and the return of the postcode lottery. We didn’t vote for this, but we got it anyway, is that the Tory democracy?
