Do not hold back over worries about wasting police time. The police play the key role in protecting us, but communities are vital in defeating terrorism and officers need help and support from you and your community.

You can report your suspicions to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or call the confidential Anti-Terrorism Hotline on 0800 789 321 which is monitored 24 hours a day.

Always remember if it’s an emergency and you suspect that danger is imminent, call 999.

If you have come across a website or online content, including emails, forums or social media, that you feel is of a violent, extremist or terrorist nature, please report it as above.

• The police will be hosting a street briefing outside the Verandah Cafe Bar, 322 Goring Road, on Saturday between 10am and midday, so this is a good chance to come down and express your concerns with your local policing team. A councillor for Marine Ward will be in attendance as well, and we look forward to seeing you there.
