Time for some real answers

Green MEP Keith Taylor declares (Observer 20/5/16) that he is in favour of the '˜free movement of peoples' within the EU.

He also says that ‘undeniable problems the UK faces in housing, education, skills, health and transport’ are the fault of the government’s ‘failure to properly plan’ to solve these problems, and ‘not immigration’.

But, I would ask him, how is it possible for government or councils to plan regarding these issues if they have no idea how many people are going to come to Britain precisely because of an open-ended commitment to the ‘free movement of peoples’ from the EU?

And I think it’s time all Remain supporters answered this question too.

Also, it seems a contradiction for Greens to protest about a) loss of green space and farmland for recreation and food security, and b) housing over-development and road-building (see BHLR!) but deny that has anything to do with over-population brought about by immigration, particularly from the EU.

Actually, I agree with several Green policies, but I think the Greens are in a state of denial on this one.
