We need our bus service

WITH the imminent closure of the North Lancing post office, local residents are crying out for a bus service.

The Neighbourhood Watch Action Group has done a survey to see how many residents are in favour of reinstating this service and, so far, have over 200 signatures on their Bus Appeal Survey.

It is apparent from the response that residents of all age groups need a regular service to be able to get to the main post office, railway station and shops in Lancing.

The nearest bus stop to the village is at the Sussex Potter in Manor Road, Lancing.

We are, at present, in discussion with Adur district council transport group who are looking into the possibility of getting the Compass Bus back on the route.

Residents have also stated the need for a bus shelter for the bus stop in Manor Road opposite the Sussex Potter. Let us hope the local council will look kindly upon us!
