Weather occurs every eight years

Amber Warning '“ this title does not refer to our parliamentary prophetess of sunny smiles and smoke free horizons (for the next five years at least) but to the recent inclement weather.

The Met Office has named this weather Frank but its real original name is El Nino Southern Oscillation.

It is the interaction of the atmosphere of this, our miraculous planet, with her oceans and skies and occurs in late December every eight years for the past 12,000 years.

The Peruvian fishermen who lost their anchovy catch due to it named it El Nino – the Boy Child Jesus Christ due to its reappearance at Advent but of course it is not anybody’s fault, especially our saviour or even the eponymous Frank, who if truth be known operates the lift at the Met Office which only seems to take eight years to descend.
