What's all the fuss about?

This piece of redundant downland needs improvement.

Situated as it is, at the halfway point between Eastbourne and Winchester, this field would make an ideal stop-over place.

With the South Downs now declared a National Park, what better use than a National Car Park?

Walkers would be able to drive there, admire the beauty and drive away, without causing damage to the environment.

There is also sufficient space for a refreshment stop, maybe a Tesco Express, it's at least two miles to the nearest outlet.

This scheme would have the positive effect of turning an area of outstanding beauty into an area of outstanding booty.

Furthermore, the natural slope of the land could readily lend itself to the construction of the new Multiplex cinema, with sloping auditorium or the new Aquarena, again the slope providing a ready-made deep end.

I think the council should throw themselves into this project.
