LEWES pupils are celebrating at Priory school after achieving an ‘outstanding’ set of GCSE results.
The school reports it has recorded the best ever headline figure of 76 per cent A* to C grades including English and Maths.
This year every student has achieved at least one qualification with 84 per cent gaining at least five A* to C grades and 98 per cent achieving A* to G grades.
Delighted head teacher Tony Smith said: “Congratulations to Priory students, families and staff on an outstanding set of examination results.
“The results achieved reflect the huge effort and commitment of the students towards their studies.
“We are delighted that the vast majority of students have achieved or exceeded their challenging targets; these results should enable them to successfully progress to the next stage of their education or training.
“Thank you to the staff and parents for supporting the students throughout their time at Priory and especially during the intensive examination times.
“We wish all our students the best for the future.”
