Over £600 Raised for Charity

Marie Antoinette and a pirate helped to raise over £600 for the Meningitis Trust.

Tracy Smith disguised at the iconic but ill-fated French Queen and her swash buckling brother, Andrew Arnett, together with husband Graham and mum Linda decided to organise a fancy dress event to raise money for the charity.

Linda said: "My husband died two years ago from septicaemia. We don't know how he got it. The Meningitis Trust was the nearest charity."

Tracy, who held the party in her back garden in Glenleigh Park Road, said: "We would like to thank everyone for attending. We had 30 people attend. People donated bottles of wine, chocolates etc for our raffle. We also had a live singer, Chris Cootes.

"Everyone had been so generous."
