PAEDOPHILE GETS FOUR YEARS

A MAN who amassed more than 96,000 paedophilic images and movies was jailed for four years on Monday.

Ian Andrew Baldock, 36, of Cliftonville Road, St Leonards, was charged with 32 counts of making, 13 counts of distributing and one count of possessing 93,614 indecent images of children.

Speaking during the sentencing at Hove Crown Court Judge Charles Kemp said: "We don't know what harm has been caused to these children. Your part is perpetuating that evil and disgusting trade and that is why we will punish you accordingly."

This is the second jail sentence Baldock has received for viewing, downloading and uploading child pornography online.

In February 2001 he was sentenced to two and a half years for his involvement in the international child porn ring, The Wonderland Club, in which he collected 42,000 indecent images.

He was released after serving half the time but was re-arrested when his name appeared repeatedly on the computer of David Ward in North Yorkshire - a man now serving 19 years for the attempted rape of a nine-month-old baby girl.
