Parents bid to save historic Worthing school

SHOCKED parents have pledged to try and raise £600,000 to help save Sandhurst School.

Trustees who run the private school in Brighton Road, Worthing, announced on Tuesday (June 3) it would be closing next month after 100 years because it could no longer offer a standard of education acceptable to parents, or function economically.

Parents have now started to rally together to try and raise 600,000 to stop the closure, which is scheduled to take place on July 10.
