Parking charges cut in Bognor

PARKING charges are being cut at several car parks around Bognor Regis.

The biggest reduction will come at the Fiztleet multi-storey site off Queensway. The current 45p fee for a two-hour stay will come down to 30p. Other charges there will stay the same.

Other Arun District Council sites to see reductions are those with summer charging at Gloucester Road, Hotham Park and Rock Gardens in Bognor and Culver Road in Felpham.

Other council car parks will see an increase in prices when the new tariff begins on a yet to be decided date.

Motorists who use the Regis Centre and Hothamton sites will face increases on the 65p, 1.30, 1.95, 2.60 and 6 fees for various length stays to 70p, 1.40, 2.10, 2.80 and 6.50.

Town-centre permits are also about to go up. Examples are the Fitzleet permit increasing to 100 from 90 and for the town-centre weekdays to 350 from 330.
