In days gone by, there used to be a triodome on the pier which hosted some legendary concerts and although the dome now stands on Brighton Palace Pier, Zooquarium is the latest music event to be announced, ensuring Hastings Pier’s musical legacy lives on.

The concert is primarily aimed at 14 to 24 year olds, and Zooquarium aims to celebrate and showcase the talent of local young people, allowing singer songwriters and bands the opportunity to perform alongside professional musicians.

Jo Stewart, CEO of Hastings Pier, said: “We have some well-known groups and artists.

“The headliner is Rat Boy and we have got local support like Dorey The Wise and Blair.”

More than 20 artists will play to 4,000 people across four stages on July 15.

And to add to the fun, revellers are being encouraged to dress up as animals to reflect the Zooquarium theme.
